Nordic championship in Sabre fencing. 7-8th June
Dear Sabre fencers.
Now that Iceland is hosting the Nordic Championship in Sabre for the first time, we want to use the opportunity to invite a wider age group than have previously participated in the championship over the years.
The parents of young fencers in Iceland are willing to provide lodging for young fencers from the Nordic countries that will participate in the competition.
We want to have a special competition for fencers aged 12 to 14. Sabre Fencing in Iceland has been growing fast for the last few years and currently there are 10-20 fencers in this age group, willing to compete.
I hope there are young fencers in your country that are willing to take an adventure trip to Iceland and compete with us here.
The competition will be held in the weekend 7-8th of June. The following weekend (14-15th) there will be the Coupe du Nord in Iceland, so some of you might consider staying for both events.
Please spread the word and let me know if there is some interest, so I can start making arrangements.
